Isn’t April just flying by? A couple weeks ago, I whipped up this lovely woven basket and stuffed it with Easter candy and a fuzzy bunny for my 3-year-old nephew. And although it wouldn’t fit in this basket, I also gifted him his first baseball bat. Let me tell you, that kid was thrilled! Most importantly, I’ve put together a beginner-friendly basket weaving kit so you can make your own sweet, little woven basket. Better still, this project comes together in two hours or less.
The April Basket Kit includes beautiful natural flax cord, a PDF pattern, and a handy video to walk you through all the steps! There’s a few reasons to fall in love with this kit. First, the kit has everything you need to get started with weaving. That includes the basket mold (reusable plastic container), washi tape, braided rope for the handle, and a darning needle (to save those fingers from doing all the heavy lifting). Second, this weaving project looks super pretty with a houseplant tucked inside. Third, you could also use it to store makeup, those random items you take out of your purse, or your favorite craft supplies. Basically, the sky’s the limit!
This handcrafted basket measures 5″ x 5″ x 4.5″ high. What’s more, the kit comes with flax cord in one of three natural colors: ivory, stone, and onyx. With your kit purchase, you can choose if you’d like enough cord to make one or two baskets. That’s one to keep and one to GIFT.
The April Basket Pattern & Video comes with two finishes, simple and braided, to add to your weaving toolbox.
The complete kit comes with:
:: 1 spool Flax & Twine 3mm Flax Cord (38 yds)
:: basket mold (reusable plastic storage container)
:: 1 roll washi tape
:: darning needle
:: 30″ piece of braided rope for handle
I hope you get the chance to check out this beginner basket weaving kit. Happy crafting!
