Sunburst Basket Kit and Pattern

My new Sunburst Basket Kit is a collaboration I recently completed with Modern Macrame. It’s so fun to get to work with other makers who inspire me and I love the pattern that came from using materials from both of our shops! This basket uses two beautifully contrasting materials to create a stunning pattern. The simple coiling technique builds on itself and creates an eye-catching design.

If you’ve never tried basketweaving before, this is a wonderful first project! The pattern includes a step-by-step photographic tutorial and a link to a complete video tutorial that is there for you every step of the way.

I love the repeating pattern. It’s made with Modern Macrame 5mm Cotton Rope and Flax & Twine Daytime Linen. Aren’t they beautiful together? The fibers are all natural and easily accessible so once you’ve made one, it’s simple to expand on these techniques and make more baskets in various sizes.
