I’m so thrilled to announce the new pattern release of this beautiful Hand Crochet Round Pillow Pattern! Traditional crochet stitches at an oversized scale like this make a wow-worthy statement of this simple round pillow. Crochet this pillow with no tools other than your own two hands and some gorgeous wool. In no time, you’ll have this lovely pillow adding rich texture to any interior space you choose!
Find the Hand Crochet Round Pillow pattern and kit in my shop!
Make the pillow with 100 gorgeous yards of Lovefest Fibers ReLove Alpaca, and you’ll be thrilled. The kits for the pillow come with the ReLove Alpaca, as shown in the photos. ReLove Alpaca is a beautiful specialty yarn made of 2/3 alpaca fiber, 1/3 Global Recycle Standard Certified rPET recycled cotton core. If you prefer, make the pillow with a smaller scale, super-bulky yarn from your local craft or yarn store. Replace every strand of jumbo yarn with 2-3 strands of super bulky yarn. I provide the range since super bulky varies so much in weight. Try a swatch to see what works best.
I think the pillow is a gorgeous accent, and I love the texture of the yarn in this jumbo crochet. The result is super deluxe and plush. I love it on my bench. The adorable bench from West Elm sits happily in a favorite corner of my kitchen. The bench provides the perfect morning spot for a tired kiddo to curl up while they wait for breakfast. Yes, the pillows live mainly on the floor.
The hand crochet round pillow is easy to make. Even if you’ve never crocheted before, no worries! The pattern comes with two tutorials. One, I provide a step-by-step photographic tutorial of How to Hand Crochet. Two, I include a photographic tutorial of How to Hand Crochet in the Round. Additionally, I have video companions for each of those tutorials. So, you have no excuse. You can make it, even if you’ve never crocheted before. Give it a whirl!
One of the best things about this pattern is that you can make this pillow in about an hour or so. You’ll adore the fast, furious fun of it all!
Finally, if you’re interested in the tutorials alone, check out the How-To section of my shop. You can find How to Hand Crochet In the Round, and so many other great tutorials there. As always, let me know if you have any questions!
