The Great American Pouf Tour Week 3

fauxmartha1

It’s week 3 of The Great American Pouf Tour celebrating my book Knitting Without Needles! Are you having as much fun as I am seeing these gorgeous poufs in all these beautiful places? We’re rounding the corner here in the pouf tour. It’s seems to be flying by. Each new pouf stop, I get so excited to take a peek to see what these bloggers have done to style the poufs in their home.

If you’re dying to make your own pouf, first, don’t forget its one of the easiest patterns in the book and you’ll be able to make it in a jiffy in no time. Literally, the poufs work up in under 2 hours – that’s it! But if you still want some hand holding, I have some good news for you. I will be teaching how to make the Fabulous Floor Pouf at Vogue Knitting Live this January 15 – 17 (I don’t think specific classes have been announced quite yet, however, but I’ll be there). Come join me and I’ll teach you in person how to make your very own! In other teaching news, I’ll also be showing a lovely group of folks how to arm knit a cowl at Brooklyn Craft Company this November 5. I’d love to see you there. On to the pouf stops!

Melissa Coleman, The Faux Martha Pouf Stop

Melissa Coleman and I met by accident online and boy, am I glad we did. Our friendship grew online over three or four years until I finally got to meet her in person this past summer. She is as sweet, authentic and beautiful as she seems online. It was such a joy to meet her face to face. She is an uber talented food blogger with an impeccable sense of style as you can see from the photos above. Her Instagram feed is absolutely lovely. For her Great American Pouf Tour Stop, she made an AH-mazing reading nook for her daughter Halie and decked it out with pouf, teepee, foam dog beds and she even made the finger knit word project from the book to pen “play” across the room. What a lucky girl to have such an unbelievably talented and loving mama!

Shannon Cook of Very Shannon Pouf Tour Stop

I immediately have an affinity for anyone who tackles multiple crafts, in this case sewing and knitting, with the amount of amazing style and taste that Shannon Cook does! I joined a creative Facebook group of bloggers last year and met Shannon there. I fell in love with her aesthetic and generous spirit. I was so excited to have her share the book and the pouf with her readers! She chose the ecru pouf which is my personal favorite.

I love how snowy, luscious and lovely this pouf looks in her home on that modern rug along with the sheepskin. On top of the pouf, she is sharing a Fringe Supply Co project bag which are the best! And, I’m a little bit drooling over that sewing box she has tucked behind the chair. Keep your eye on Shannon’s blog as I’m sure there is lots of knitterly and sewing goodness coming up this fall!

Mari Richards of Small for Big and Smallful Pouf Tour Stop

Mari and I met in the very same Facebook blogger’s group that I met Shannon at. I love her work both on her blog Small for Big and at her printables shop Smallful. Right now, Mari’s home is in total flux and she finds herself working out of her living room most days. Given my recent move, boy, do I know how that feels. I’m thrilled that the pouf has made her work-a-day cozier and cushier. She shares her pouf and feelings on the book here.

I love the idea of Mari and her gorgeous, creative self using the pouf from Knitting Without Needles to fuel her work.

One last note, it’s Smallful‘s one-year anniversary right now. Mari has so many fabulous printables over in her shop. I’m in love with these masks for one, and she has so much more! If you have a sec, go show her some love!
