I’m happy to announce a new series that I’m kicking off on the blog this year. After years of thinking that there must be something fun out there to do with the balls and balls of finger knitting that my kids have made, and not finding it, I started brainstorming and came up with a bunch of really fun ideas to share with you. I will be posting five new finger knitting projects (and maybe even more) over the next few months. And, cute as they are (see below), no, there aren’t any scarves in the list!
I’m talking about fun ideas to decorate your kids’ room, beautiful keepsake rugs, and meaningful gifts for others. So, keep an eye out for this button, below, on the right side of my blog. It will be popping up in the next few days with the first fabulous project you won’t want to miss or, now, click below to see the gallery of projects.
If you want to learn how to finger-knit (which is a great skill for kiddos starting at the age of 4), and get prepared for all these amazing upcoming projects, check out my step-by-step finger knitting tutorial here.
Here’s a little preview of what this humongous ball of finger knitting turned into–beautiful and so much fun to do with the kids. This beautiful hula-hoop rug will be the first project so keep your eyes peeled for the tutorial in the next week or so!
I have some Valentines projects to show you guys first!
xo, Anne

We still haven’t mastered finger knitting here (oh, impatience, how I despise you) but I’m keeping this in mind for when it happens.

Keep trying Cheryl!

I have been a knitter since the beginning of time. Never came across finger knitting. I’ve got to give it a try. Looks relaxing.

That is such a fabulous idea. A video would help wouldn’t it?? If we decide to do another one, I’ll definitely consider video taping it. FUN!
