Favorite Easter Craft Projects from Flax & Twine

Easter Craft Projects - Non-Dye Eggs

It’s hard to believe that I have been blogging for over 7 years! I have a lot of projects and patterns under my belt, but I will say that the Easter craft projects are amongst my favorites. I love a good egg design that doesn’t require dying. I’m a no muss, no fuss sort of gal. I also am a sucker for bunnies of all kinds, so I’ve made my fair share of some of those! I wanted to take a spin through my blog and round up some of my favorite Easter craft projects so you can have them all in one spot!

Lately, I’ve been trying to slow down a bit and take care of myself and my family without going totally nuts over my business. It feels pretty good. This is actually National Me Day, so pat yourself on the back and do something nice for yourself. Give yourself a little creative joy and put your hands to work making an Easter craft that you’re going to love!

These Crochet Covered Easter Eggs are the quintessential Flax & Twine project! This was the first project I shot in a lightbox and totally white background. I fell in love with the white and bright and natural look that the taupe crochet thread gave these eggs. This really made me feel like I had captured MY style. I describe and show the full pattern and details project are described here. However, If you are a video kind of person, you can take my class at Creativebug. I use the same patterns on the stones in that case, but instead, use eggs!

These were a last minute Easter Egg design, but amongst my favorites for sure. I did this for Martha Stewart originally. They are a breeze to make and just so darling, I can hardly bear it!

Here’s a set of Party Hat Easter Eggs along the same lines as the floral crown, but a little more upbeat! Love the festive nature of these eggs complete with excited faces, confetti, and a hanging flower background. These eggs are ready to party!

Easter Craft Projects - Non-Dye Eggs

I made these Gold Animal Easter Eggs the same year as the party hats eggs. I have a particular soft spot for these eggs. My Father died that spring and these just remind me of that time. I can’t see these without thinking of him and all that he and we went through at the end of his life. I miss him every day. But, these eggs also remind me that spring is about renewal and new growth, and so we move on with hope, energy, and love.

One more! I love this Folk Flower Easter Egg design. Of course, I love the fact you need nothing wet or sloppy! These are easy templates you can just cut out of faux wood grain sticker paper and be done with it!

I love these little mini-crochet bunnies! These are just tiny and so cute. I can also picture, putting them on a wooden skewer and topping an easter cake with them. How cute would that be!?

Of course, my list of Easter craft projects must include the Giant Arm Knit Bunny. This is one of my all-time most popular patterns and kits! Thinking about how the imagination could run wild for any little girl or boy, I totally understand.
